Good news. The Pydev extensions are Open Source from now on!
(last year I payed for them… )
Pydev is a good IDE for larger python projects (only startup is a bit slow because it depends on Eclipse).
For small scripts, I still prefer GVim.

I’ve replaced my FreeBSD personal (file) server with OpenSolaris last week.
One reason: virtualization. Jails are not enough. Solaris give me multiple possibilities: xVM Hypervisor, VirtualBox, Zones/ Containers / BrandZ …

Dat de verkoopspraktijken van grote bedrijven, en dan in het bijzonder bedrijven zoals Microsoft (en blijkbaar ook SAP) niet altijd even eerlijk zijn, weet menig IT’er al langer.
